Samantha Desirae Diaz graduated in May 2023 with her MFA in Creative Writing at Chapman University in Orange, California. In 2019 she graduated with her bachelor's in Screenwriting from California State University, Northridge.

Her writing niche circles around horror, folklore, and crime stories, with a dabble of romance on the side. Her thesis was an Adult folklore horror novel based on the legend of La Llorona. She is currently working on her thesis story in hopes of submitting it to a publisher in the future. In between, she plays along with her writing styles creating potential TV scripts, short stories, and fiction novels.

Samantha honed her skills as the former social media manager and content writer for  Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting Co. and Office Bug LLC. There she was tasked to copywrite, create newsletters, design graphics, and market to a pet audience. Her internships at Red Hen Press, Matchmakers in the City, Entity Academy, Quebrada Entertainment, and Koogle TV had prepared her for a career in both publishing and film.

Since graduating she has started her own side business called Love, Books Studio. Here, she writes blog posts on reviews and bookish content. Through Etsy she creates book-related & writing-related gifts such as t-shirts, sweaters, bookmarks, and tote bags. She hopes to assist a creative community with social media, copywriting, research, and organization within the literary and entertainment fields.

When she’s not busying herself with work, she entertains herself by watching shows and movies, practicing yoga, and listening to her favorite podcasts.
